Thank God, it’s not Scolio!

I was expecting the worst when I went to Marikina Valley Medical Center to see Ortho specialist today for my back check-up since I’ve been experiencing this freaking back pain for ages. The pain is so sharp at times it caused me mild fever, it also has a burning sensation when I lie down to sleep, so I’m not getting much sleep either – the reason why I always late at work.

So, all along I was suspecting scolio is the culprit of this painful backache since most symptoms I’ve been experiencing are somehow related minus the abnormal curve in the spine. Good thing, Dr. Morales, the orthopedist who did the check-up make every things clear. First thing he said, the minute he saw the result of my x-ray, is I’m not candidate for scolio! :) That I don’t have scoliosis. He said that it is purely muscle sprain, that I got through my job, stress, lack of sleep and bad posture. I told him that I worked as an office staff who is glued in front of computer for 7 hours everyday, I’ve been like this for 4 years. So, what would you expect?!

Anyway, I am not allowed to lift heavy stuff, bend, sleep late, stress myself too much and stuff coz according to my doctor it could worsen the pain and worst of all it won’t go away no matter how high the dosage of medicine I take if I would continue doing the things he mentioned.

Also, he suggests that I should have at least one sports to play.

I’m glad for you! I hope the pain goes away sooner. My older sister has a mild Scoliosis and she complains about how her back hurts. (/_\) Now she’s taking medicine for it.
